GREAT BRITISH WEATHER

We at the Great British Food Festival are very well-used to the wonderful Great British weather! Our events will go ahead come rain or shine and we know only too well that you can sometimes experience all seasons in one day!

But, the good news is, if you come prepared you can still have a brilliant day with us, whatever the weather has in store!

Be prepared:

  • • All of our Great British Food Festival events are based outside, so we recommend that you come prepared for the weather.
  • • We are based in the grounds of country estates. Best to check the weather forecast before your visit and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. If it rains, the ground can get a bit muddy, so wellies/old trainers would be better on those days than flip flops or your best new sandals!
  • • It’s always a good idea to bring a lightweight poncho/rain coat and umbrella. Be ready in case the sun comes out, by sticking in some sunscreen.
  • • If it’s a nice day, a lightweight picnic blanket can help you enjoy a lovely shady spot, (especially if seating is limited), or can warm you up, if the weather is a bit less kind!

But even with the best preparation, we understand that if it rains relentlessly whilst you are at one of our events, it can take the edge off your day. So, we promise that if it rains for more than an hour continuously during your visit, we will let you come back the next day for FREE!* T&C’s Apply

To use the rainy day promise, all you need to do is email us on [email protected] prior to 7pm the night before you would like to use the rainy day promise, with details of your original booking number and we’ll let you know how you can return for free!

We regret that if Covid-19 Government restrictions are in operation, which dictate a maximum number of attendees per event or time-slot, the Rainy Day Promise will be subject to availability and our not having already reached any maximum capacity of numbers with our pre-booked tickets.

* does not apply at Knebworth or Trentham (ticketing is run by the venue)
